Sponsorship Visa for Work (TSS Visa)
On 18 April 2017, the Hon Malcolm Turnbull MP, Prime Minister of Australia and the Hon Peter Dutton MP, Minister for Immigration and Border Protection jointly announced that the Temporary Work (Skilled) visa (subclass 457 visa) will be abolished and replaced with the completely new Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) visa which will support businesses in addressing genuine skill shortages.
Temporary Skill Shortage visa (subclass 482)
TSS visa allows employers to address labor shortages by bringing in genuinely skilled workers where they cannot hire an appropriately skilled Australian. TSS visa holders can work in Australia in their nominated occupation for their approved sponsor under one of three streams:
- the Short-Term stream
- the Medium-Term stream
- the Labour Agreement stream

What is the Employer Nomination Scheme?
The ENS visa is a permanent residence visa for skilled workers. It enables the applicant to work in Australia under one of three streams:
- the Short-Term stream
- the Medium-Terms stream
- the Labour Agreement stream
Temporary Residence Transition stream
is for subclass 482 TSS visa holders who have worked for three years and would like to work as a permanent position in the same occupation (MLTSSL) while holding a subclass TSS visa.
Direct Entry stream
is for skilled workers who have been nominated by their employer under the Direct Entry stream and it requires at least 3 years relevant work experience in nominated occupation.

Regional Sponsored Skilled Migration Scheme (RSMS)
What is Regional Sponsored Skilled Migration Scheme?
RSMS is a permanent visa for skilled workers who got a job offer in a regional area which requires works in that area at least 2 years.
