Who should apply for Contributory Parent Temporary 173 VISA?

This permanent visa is for a dependent child under 18 years old whose parent is an Australian citizen, eligible New Zealand citizen or holder of an Australian permanent visa.

The child must be single (never married or in a de factor relationship) and meet the age requirement.

  • under 18 years old; or
  • over 18 and under 25 years and studying full time; or
  • over 18 years with a disability.

AGED DEPENDENT RELATIVE 114 VISA

Who should apply for Aged Dependent Relative 114 VISA?

If you are the relative of an Australian citizen, permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen, and you are old enough to receive the Australian aged pension, you can apply for this visa to stay permanently in Australia. Your eligible relative or relative’s partner can sponsor your application.

Who should apply for Parent Permanent 103 VISA?

If you have a relative who is Australian citizen, permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen living in Australia who has a long-term medical condition and have no reasonable access to care options in Australia, you can apply for the Carer 116 visa to live permanently in Australia.

The is visa allows you to work and study in Australia, enrol in Medicare and sponsor your relatives to come to Australia.

Sponsor

If your child in Australia is under 18 years old, they cannot sponsor you and you must be sponsored by a relevant organisation or eligible relative who must first be approved by the Department.

Bupa medical certificate

You must have a statement that your relative or their family member has a medical condition that requires care as well as written evidence that your Australian relative or their family member does not have reasonable access to care options in Australia.
